Pitbull Terrier – American Breed Review by donotgetone

a pit bull left my brother with 88 scars and yet more scars from the emotional trauma it caused when he was 30 seconds from death, an eighth of an inch from being blind, and at the mercy of a dog ripping him apart at just 10 years old. watching his mother trying to save him and also sacrificing herself was also the worst. nothing at all was done to provoke this dog. in fact, it came on our property and just started to kill. we also have a friend who's 2 year old daughter was killed in her own home by her own pet pit bull. do not ever risk your family or yourself by owning a pit bull. they're only innocent until they're not... they all are bred and born to kill. training cannot change genes. I would give them less than one star but that's not an option.

This breed is not aggressive towards other dogs or any animal. No dog is born aggressive. You should really change your information under the temperament. That is false information. I own a American Bulldog mix with Pitbull, i also adopted him. He is the most sweetest boy ever. Change your information so you dont give people the wrong idea about this breed.

Pitbull Terrier – American Breed Review by David

Pitbulls are great dogs! I had one when I was just out of college and as long as he had plenty of toys to chew on and was played with regularly he was a well-behaved dog. They need to be socialized early to get along with other dogs but they are incredibly loyal and obedient when you take care of them!

The American Pitbull Terrier is a breed of dog originating in 19th century England, Ireland, and Scotland from a combination of Bulldog and Terrier. This strong dog got its name because, back then, it was put in pits to fight. This breed is often given a bad name, though. Pitbulls are not born to fight, but are a product of their environment, reacting to their owners training and treatment. They are easily identified by their physical characteristics including a strong, muscular body, well chiseled head, strong jaw, and short, glossy coat. Pitbulls need lots of exercise and structure. It is good to train a Pitbull and socialize them at an early age. Firm, yet calm training is a must. Very intelligent and eager to please, this loveable breed is quick to learn commands and tricks. The owner must show strong leadership, showing that they, as the human, are the pack leader in order to have a successful relationship. Grooming is easy with regular brushing and occasional bathing.
