Short and straight, the undercoat is dense and lies close to the body.

English Mastiffs are loyal, fearless, intelligent and reliable. They are very loving and docile with friends and family.

Their coat care is minimal.  Bathe when necessary.  They need regular exercise.

English Mastiffs need gentle but firm training to keep them under control.

They need some exercise but not an enormous amount.
