The Mini Labradoodle

In the past few years, there has been an interesting trend in the puppy sales industry. I refer to them as designer mixed breeds. The cross breeds, such as the one I want to focus on with this article, The Mini Labradoodle, have become increasingly popular to the mainstream dog buyer. Shi-poo, malti-poo, cavachon, morkie, and the very popular puggle are just a few example of the well known cross breeds out there.

The Mini Labradoodle is achieved by crossing a Labrador and a Miniature Poodle. These dogs are viewed as an excellent choice for people who have minor allergies because of decreased shedding in the breed. There is also a toy version of this mixed breed, which in alot of cases requires artificial insemination to successfully breed these dogs. The Mini Labradoodle will bring good qualities of both the Labrador and the poodle to the table. They are very intelligent and highly trainable, and are known as wonderful dogs in a family setting. The Mini Labradoodle ranges anywhere from 17-22 inches tall, and weighs anywhere from 25 to 50 pounds. Also, the Mini Labradoodle breed is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC).
