Miniature Pinscher

Breed Description: The Miniature Pinscher is a small canine breed. The “King of Toys” orĀ “Min Pin” looks identical to the full size Doberman, and is about as fealess as well, but actually come from completely different gene pool. The breeds earliest ancestors were a mix of the Italian Greyhound and Dachshunds. The majority of Kennel Clubs view the Miniature Pinscher as a toy or companion breed. The original use for the breed was the hunting of rodents, at which they are still quite effective.

Colors: The Miniature Pinscher red, stag-red, and black or chocolate with tan or rust markings, in addition to blue and fawn.

Grooming: The Miniature Pinscher requires very little grooming as they have a short coat.

Activity Level:Ā  Because of their small stature they require a minimal amount of exercise.

Temperament: The Miniature Pinscher is a loyal dog that thrives on interaction. They are a “family dog”. They need to feel involved.

Life Expectancy:Ā 15-16 years
