Breed Description: The Boston Terrier is a small and compact canine breed. The “American Gentleman” was accepted by the AKC in 1893 as a non-sporting breed and is extremely popular. The Boston Terrier has a short tail and erect ears, which make them look like canine royalty. Boston Terriers can be a great choice for a person looking to have a one dog home, as they are very loyal and enjoy the company of humans most of all.

Average Size: 15-17 inches tall and weight of between 10-25 lbs

Colors:  The Boston Terrier is characteristically marked with white in proportion to either black, brindle, seal, or a combination of the three.

Activity Level: The Boston Terrier does not require a lot of exercise.

Temperament: This breed has a strong, but happy go lucky personality. They generally get along well with children and other non-canine pets.

Life Expectancy: 11-12 years

Don’t overdue it! : Be aware that because of the Boston Terriers shortened muzzle, excessive amounts of exercise can be dangerous to this breed. The breed also struggles with extreme hot and cold temperatures.
