Akbash Breed Review by Tamara Taylor
The Akbash Dog is a pure white livestock protection breed registered with UKC. Many dogs sold as "purebred" are crossed with Great Pyrenees or Anatolians. To get a pure Akbash Dog, an intelligent, protective but independent breed, buyers should seek out UKC registered pups. Some breed registries issue papers for "pure Akbash" with little proof of breed purity. Buying from an ethical, experienced breeders is important. They will not sell an Akbash Dog to the wrong type of home --- and they will offer 24/7 advice and information!!

Akbash Breed Review by T. Evans
Akbash Dogs are pure white, sometimes with a little biscuit color on their ears or down their back. They are a very protective breed and are not for everyone! You must be a pack leader with these dogs, they think for themselves and listen to you second. They are a flock guardian dog and when bred as a pure Akbash, can be very animal protective. As I said they are pure white, they do not have markings like Great Pyrs. Do your research before buying a purebred Akbash.
