The Cairn Terrier is a courageous and devoted breed. A skilled vermin hunter with a playful and adventurous nature, this breed is guaranteed to provide plenty of laughs and entertainment to its owner. While they may have a natural instinct to hunt and chase, they are great with children and make a great family dog.
Shoulder height: 9-13 inches. Weight: 13-18 pounds.
Cairn Terriers are hypoallergenic and shed very little. Frequent brushing will remove dead fur and will help prevent potential skin problems.
Often referred to as “a big dog in a small dog’s body”, this breed is not not your run of the mill lap dog. The Cairn is more tolerant than most terriers of other animals in the household.
They need daily exercise and obedience training would be good for them.
They need a moderate amount of activity, but are still well suited for apartment living.
