The German Shorthaired Pointer has a flat, dense, hard, and coarse coat.  Their coat colors are solid liver or a combination of liver and white.

German Shorthaired Pointers are active, responsive, gentle, affectionate, and even-tempered.

They tend to be very good with the children and other pets. They also make great watch dogs and hunting dogs.

This breed needs minimal grooming. They do shed heavy.  Weekly brushing will help lesson shedding.

Obedience training will definitely help with their social skills and their obedience.They love to learn new tricks and are highly trainable.

German Shorthaired Pointers need a lot vigorous activity. They need to be with an active family that can provide lots of outdoor activities.
