Couch Potato Dogs
Not everyone is an active, fit, jogging enthusiast. While many of us try to stay active, eat well, and be healthy there are many of us that would much rather sit in front of Netflix with a cup of tea and a bowl of snacks. Luckily there are plenty of pups out there that will be happy to cuddle up with you and binge watch Stranger Things.
Basset Hound
These pups are known for their lackadaisical behavior and their complete willingness to sleep the day away. Basset hounds are loving, sweet, pooches that are happy being active or laying around on a lazy afternoon. They do not require too much exercise, about one long walk a day, but do need to stay away from the junk food. Basset hounds can gain weight easily if they do not have a proper diet. So be sure to keep the popcorn to yourself and your new film buff will be happy and healthy.
Bernese Mountain Dog
These dogs are massive, powerful pooches that were bred to traverse mountains and fight bears. They are beautiful, sweet dogs that can make a great addition to your family, no matter what size. They will be up for a hike but will be thrilled to come home, get a bowl of water, and pass out as you and your family relax and prepare dinner. Like a basset hound you will need to monitor their diet regularly and keep the food scraps off the floor. This way they won’t have added weight to their joints and they will stay healthier, longer.
Bulldog
The stereotype of bulldogs that they are apathetic, sweet, sleepy pups that loves to curl up on the couch and chew on their bone. Nothing could be more true. These pooches are wonderful couch companions that are fine relaxing by the pool or napping in the afternoon. Just be sure to take them on a long walk every day and give your pup a healthy diet to keep them healthy.
Chow Chow
Known most for the massive amounts of fur and blue tongues, a Chow Chow is a wonderful pup for individuals or small families with grown children. These dogs love to laze about and snuggle up with your family on movie night. If you decide to adopt a Chow Chow be aware that your house will be covered in a not-so-thin layer of dog hair and plenty of drool to spare.
