A Great Mixed Breed of Dog

The adorable Pomsky breed of dog is a mixed breed of the Husky and the Pomeranian breed. If you are looking to buy an adorable Pomsky pup and live in California, beware that it is illegal to buy one of these pups before they are eight weeks of age.

When dog breeders’ mix breeds it is uncertain what kind of behaviors, color and characteristics the pup will have as they reach the adult life. The pup will have mixed characteristics of both parents. However, the Husky and the Pomeranian breeds are very close in traits and characteristics.

Husky Traits

The Husky breed is medium size dogs. They possess agility, endurance, and they love exercise. Husky’s have a wonderful disposition. This breed works well in obedience classes and training. Pomeranians’ tend to stand up to adversity without regard of their size and this may get them into trouble. Pomeranians’ like Huskies are excellent at guarding their family members and home and are always on alert for changes. Pomeranians’ always feel they have something to say and tend to be an annoying barker. Training to quiet their barking is successful most times. Pomeranians’ enjoy exercise outside, so a good fenced in yard area is ideal for exercise. They also enjoy walking along with their owner.

These two breeds carry many of the same traits so when the breeder mixes these two breeds into the Pomsky their traits are not going to change drastically. Pomsky breeds carry the best traits of both wonderful breeds, the Husky and Pomeranian.
