The Boxer is a powerful dog with a wise and observant expression. Even though they are innate protectors, the Boxer adores being with his owners. Emerging in both taupe and brindle, the Boxer is one of the most widespread pet dogs in the United States. One of the boxer’s most remarkable qualities is its yearning for human friendliness, and they especially love children. They are unflappable and animated with children; however, they are also very protective, making them a good pet for families. The Boxer needs hardly any grooming, but commands daily exercise.

Boxers are full of energy, endlessly faithful dogs that have a positive love for life. Their natural inquisitiveness, intellect, and vitality need to be concentrated on productive activities. Boxers are very intelligent, but do not like being asked to do the same trick or action repeatedly. Boxers need exercise and are one of the best Frisbee players you could ask for. You have to walk your Boxer and keep him busy. He will run with you, or just take a daily walk, however you exercise him it must be done. Your Boxer should be an indoor pet as their short coat and little body fat gives them little protection from the cold. For the same reason they do not like extreme heat either. One good thing about that short coat in you will not be saddled with the expense of a groomer! One thing to be warned of; if you do not like a dog with a constant frothy drool, then you are good. If the thought of a slobbery dog mouth has you shivering then please pick a different breed.
