Breed Description: The Bernese Mountain Dog is a strong, large, sturdy, and agile breed. They are cheerful dogs, and are known to love children. Their long, tri-colored coat gives them a very distinct look. Early socialization and establishment of alpha dominance is key with this breed.

Activity Level: The Bernese Mountain Dog is best suited for a home with a large yard. These dogs are not suited for apartment life.
Temperament: When socialized early, this breed is an absolute joy as a pet. Great with children and easy to train, the Bernese is a great family dog. Generally does well with other pets.
